The Functional Safety Terminology Landscape

 

FSSC는 Functional Safety Standards Committee 를 의미합니다. 

 

1. 해당 페이퍼는 안전과 관련된 정말 많은 표준/규격들이 조금씩 의미가 다르게 정의 및 활용되기 때문에, 타 산업에 적용되는 경우의 혼란과 잘못된 이해 그리고 접근을 막기 위해서 통합된 용어의 의미를 제안합니다. 

 

FSSC describes the landscape of functional safety terminology as used accross multiple domains. 

It discusses the different understanding of the terminologies used and where they differ and defines a single understanding of the terminology for future use. 

 

2. 해당 자료는 이해를 돕기 위함이지 또 다른 표준으로 활용되기 위함이 아닙니다. 

 

3. 조직(organization)마다 적용/고려되는 표준이 다를 것입니다. 이점을 참고해서 내용을 이해해야 합니다. 

 

4. 해당 페이퍼에서는 다음의 Basic, Generic, Specific 을 사용하여 분리하였습니다. 

• Basic standards that give basic concepts, principles for design, and general aspects that are applicable to a certain domain.
• Generic standards that deal with one safety aspect or one type of safety device that can be used accross a wide range of applications.
• Specific standards that handle detailed safety guidelines for a particular application.
